Character v Plot, Vampires and winning!

There is some fantastic advise from Amanda Grange on the RNA website. Paraphrasing she's saying that if you get to a sticky patch in your writing and don't quite know where to go with it, don't start rearranging the plot but think 'what would the character do.'
I think this is wonderful advice and in future as well as scrawling SdT (show don't tell) across the top of my notes I'll also be adding What would your character do?
Also Amanda's new book Mr Darcy, Vampyre is out next month - it combines Mr Darcy and well er Vampires! Two of my favourite things! - In fiction that is, not quite sure how I'd react if I met either in the flesh! Obviously as it's um, unlikely, to happen I shan't be worrying about it anytime soon!
I was also chuffed to find out I had won the 'match the shoe to the author competition' on the RNA site, so I'm waiting to find out which book I'll be getting. I love winning books, I'm very easy to please!!
